Ashton & Grace Prom 2021

Grace and Ashton have grown up as close family friends, and Ashton is a special part of our lives. Saturday was a milestone for both our families as we watched our kids participate in North Tama’s Junior Senior Prom.

Ashton picked his tux all by himself, and I was so impressed with how nice it looked next to Grace’s dress. I commented on how GQ he looked, and I don’t think anyone could argue that! That blue looked so sharp on him! When Grace walked down our staircase all dolled up, my heart skipped a beat. It’s not very often her dad is speechless, but Saturday night was one of those rare moments! She was radiant. She began practicing her hair and make-up weeks ago, and she nailed it! They both looked amazing!

Ashton’s mom, Barb, and I had a blast hanging out with these kids and taking pictures. Grace and Ashton have been fully vaccinated, so I felt much more at ease letting them go maskless when it was just the two of them. Ashton was such an amazing friend and continued to wear his mask throughout the evening in support of Grace who wore hers following the stage entrance. I was so impressed with his kindness!

I may have gone a little overboard with pictures, but for anyone who has been in front of my camera, you know that my excitement behind the lens leads to lots of lovely images.
