Senior Letter

To My Seniors,

This year I had the privilege to photograph some of the most amazing seniors I have ever worked with. I have known many of you since you were in preschool, and I have watched you grow into amazing young adults. Whether I have known you for a few weeks or since you were 4, I am now invested in each of your lives and futures.

We shot in a variety of locations from Gladbrook to Waterloo and everywhere in between. Between sweltering heat, blustery winds, overcast skies, and gorgeous sunrays, we overcame some tricky weather conditions to get some stunning pictures of each one of you. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you even better during our time together, and each of you has become a special part of my story. As a teacher, I’m so proud of what amazing young adults you have become and the many accomplishments you have achieved at this point in your life. For many of you, I had the opportunity to teach you in first grade, and I have followed you through your whole school career. I am so impressed with everything you have achieved in the past 13 years.

I believe you all have amazing potential, and I have no doubt you will go on to do great things. Not even a pandemic is going to stop you from making your mark in this world. No matter what path you choose in life, I want to offer you a few words of advice. ALWAYS seek God’s will in everything you do, every step you take, and every decision you make. Pray that He guides your steps and gives you the wisdom and strength to make wise choices. Trust that He will always lead you in the right direction.

With all the disappointments the end of the year has brought, I still see your strength, love, kindness, compassion, intelligence, and resilience. Those qualities will be the foundation you will continue to build your life on. Many blessings Class of 2020, and I am confident that our future is in great hands.

Much Love,

Amy
