Quigley Reception

“You are my today, and all of my tomorrows.”

Erica and Matt had a destination wedding in Georgia, and they celebrated with friends and family in Traer on September 25th. We had a breezy day, but the temperature couldn’t have been better. When scouting out locations for their family portraits, I had one option in mind. When Erica said I could check out their yard area, I drove out to take a peek. The second I saw the willow tree, I knew that would make the most gorgeous background.

I have taken both family and engagement pictures of Matt and Erica, and they totally knew the routine by now. When we were at the reception taking some candid shots, I took a picture of the two of them against a lovely backdrop setting they had designed. All of the sudden Matt put his hand in his pocket, and he told me he knew what to do! I got a good chuckle out of that. Thanks, Matt for following directions so well!

After the bride and groom were done with their pictures, we got photos with the sweetest two jr. bridesmaids. What an adorable family they have all become! Then came the family dogs. Nya and Scout did such a great job in their pictures. Watching the family interact with their beloved pets was heartwarming. After taking the extended family pictures, we headed to the Traer Memorial Building to complete the celebration.

Matt and Erica started the night off with the cake cutting. I’m not sure how much frosting Matt got up his nose, but I’m pretty sure Erica wasn’t feeling too guilty! It’s kind of hard to hold the camera steady when you’re laughing behind the scenes!

The bride and groom then enjoyed their first dance, followed by the traditional parent dances. A truly unique part of the reception was when Erica danced with each of her step-daughters. Her love for them was incredibly obvious, and I could tell the feeling was mutual.

The most entertaining part of the evening was watching Matt show Erica his solo dance moves before being allowed to remove the garter. Way to go, Matt!

I truly enjoyed my evening with the Quigley and Podhajsky families. I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

“You will forever be my always.”
